Two Arraigned In New Year’s Eve Shooting

Two Zanesville residents charged in connection with a New Year’s Eve shooting appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court for their arraignments. The Prosecutor’s Office says 25-year-old Jacob Roberts of 216 Weller Avenue pled not guilty to aggravated robbery and felonious assault in connection to a shooting at 768 Pine Street. Judge Mark Fleegle continued Roberts’ bond at $500,000. The Prosecutor’s Office says 29-year-old Jessie Knipe of 1142 Putnam Avenue also appeared in court and pled not guilty to tampering with evidence. Judge Fleegle continued her bond at $50,000. A third suspect in the case, 31-year-old Darrin Wade, already appeared in court and pled not guilty to multiple charges including attempted murder, aggravated robbery, felonious assault and having a weapon while under a disability.
