Two More Indicted In Largest Heroin Bust

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says two more people have been indicted on drug charges in connection to the largest heroin bust in local history. The Sheriff says the indictments came after a search warrant was executed by the Sheriff’s Office and Zanesville Police Department Joint Drug Task Force at 818 Ayers Street. During the search U.S. currency, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia were seized. The two people indicted are Nathaniel Antonio Williams and Courtney Shepherd. Williams is charged with trafficking in drugs with forfeiture specifications for U.S. currency and vehicles. Shepherd was indicted for possession of drugs, and permitting drug abuse also with a forfeiture specification. Sheriff Lutz says the investigation is the result of anonymous complaints from concerned citizens as well as information obtained through other investigation linking these individuals as person of interest in the drug trafficking world. Sheriff Lutz says Timothy “World” Matson was arrested earlier this month as part of the heroin bust.
