Perry County Grand Jury Indicts Suspects for Heroin Trafficking

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office says four suspects involved in the trafficking of heroin in the Corning/Monroe Township area have been indicted.
Charles M. Hook Jr., 35, is charged with three counts of trafficking in heroin and one count of aggravated possession of drugs. His mother, Sandra K. Hook, 59, is charged with one count of trafficking in heroin and one count of permitting drug abuse. His father, Charles E. Hook Sr, 61, is charged with one count of permitting drug abuse.
Sheriff’s deputies and Code Task Force agents raided the Hook residence at 13516 Chapel Hill Rd. in Corning and arrested all three suspects. A fourth suspect, 41-year-old Barney A. Hook was also arrested on misdemeanor drug charges.
Sandra Hook, along with Charles M. Hook Jr. are alleged to have sold heroin to an undercover informant working for the drug task force in July of 2015. Charles M. Hook Jr. was arrested on July 31, 2015 on outstanding felony warrants out of Morgan County and was found with more heroin on him that prosecutors said was possessed for resale.
Also indicted was Joshua D. Goodrich, 31, of Somerset for allegedly selling an undercover informant methamphetamine on Feb. 2 in the Village of Junction City.
All suspects are currently being held in the Southeast Ohio Regional jail, awaiting their arraignments.
