Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Perry County

THORNVILLE, Ohio –The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident in Perry County.

According the Lancaster Post, the accident happened Wednesday, July 29,  shortly after 12:30  P.M. on Rush Creek Road near Township Road 2 in Reading Township.

Troopers said  Katherine L. Penn, 64, of Pickerington was riding her motorcycle south on Rush Creek Road when she  failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway.

Authorities said Penn then struck a fence and was ejected when her motorcycle overturned.  She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Perry County Coroner’s Office,  Reading Township Fire and EMS, and A-One Towing.

The crash remains under investigation.
