Eight Sheridan Generals Put Pen To Paper

The Sheridan Generals held their annual college signing ceremony Tuesday morning, featuring five Division I signees.  Highlighting the list for the Generals was women’s basketball standout Katrina Scheuvront, who will play at Mount St. Mary’s next season. The 6’4" senior averaged 9 points per game with 9.64 rebounds per game.  "It’s one of the biggest steps I’ll ever take in my life," said Scheuvront.  "They’ll allow me to bring their team up in rebounding."

Former General fullback Deryk Grosse will continue his football career in the MAC for the Ohio Bobcats.  "It’s an almost loss for words on how excited and ready I am," said the first-team All-MVL selection. Cross county runner Clay Fisher will join Grosse in Athens while Fisher’s former teammate–Joey Palumbo–is headed to Tennessee-Martin.

Other signees include Emily Taylor, Jamie Fraley, Gage Wells and Morgan Householder.
