Weaver Found Guilty In Death of Newborn

A Muskingum County Jury has found Emile Weaver guilty of aggravated murder in the death of her newborn baby. She was found guilty on all charges.
The jury began deliberating around 3:30 p.m Friday.
Earlier in the day, the defense called Emile Weaver to the stand. Weaver testified that she didn’t know she was pregnant until she gave birth to a baby girl on April 22nd of last year in a bathroom at the Delta Gamma Theta sorority house.
The prosecution then cross examined Weaver where she admitted she was in denial about her pregnancy and everything she had told authorities was a lie.
Weaver is charged with aggravated murder, gross abuse of a corpse, and two counts of tampering with evidence. She faces life in prison with no parole.
