Meet Peanut, The Pet of the Week

It’s time now to introduce you to the Animal Shelter Society’s Pet of the Week.

Meet Peanut, she is a Chihuahua Mix and is believed to be around 8 years old. Executive Director, Jody Murray, said Peanut arrived at the shelter last month and is looking for a forever home.

“Very calm little dog, gets along with people, gets along with other cats. I would imagine with her size, big dogs would make her a little nervous but, she is definitely a dog that if you are looking for a nice house companion she would certainly do that” said Murray.

Murray said because of Peanut’s age her adoption fee is sponsored and you can make her apart of your family for $65 plus the cost of her dog tags.

“A person that maybe lives by themselves but, wants a companion or someone to keep them company she is perfect, she’s just absolutely perfect,” said Murray.

Murray said the Animal Shelter Society will be hosting their annual ‘Family Fun Day’ Saturday from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. He said there will be specials and fun activities for the entire family.
