Ohio Means Jobs is Hosting a Hiring Event Thursday

ZANESVILLE, Ohio– The AutoZone Distribution Center in Muskingum County has more than 30 jobs available.

Ohio Means Jobs Supervisor Julie Metzger said they will be hosting a hiring event Thursday, June 9th from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. to fill these positions.

“Be prepared,” Metzger said. “You could be interviewed on the spot. You can go on AutoZone’s website and apply online prior to coming in or you can just come in the day of the event. They are a fortune 300 company. They have great a benefit package and several different shifts they are going to be hiring for.”

Metzger said it’s also important for job seekers to research the company, come prepared to answer questions and also have questions ready to ask the company as well.

“Have 2 or 3 questions that you would like to ask the person that is interviewing you, so that you know a little bit more about the company. Like what are their expectations of an employee there. What is a typical day like there and that will give you a little bit more outlook on what kind of positions that they’re filling,” Metzger said.

Metzger said to dress for success and be sure your resume is up to date.
