Jets win home opener; Senior Pioneers dominate twin bill

Football season is in full swing as the Zanesville Jets defeated the Columbus War Eagles 30-20 in their first home game of th season. The Jets have made back-to-back playoff appearances in the Ohio Football League.

The Zanesville Senior Pioneers defeated the Newark Diamonds 9-0 and 7-1 in a doubleheader at Gant Stadium. Starting pitcher Matt West tossed a complete game shutout in the opener as the Senior Pioneers advance to 3-0 on the season.
