City Council Passes Dog Park Proposal at Riverside Park

ZANESVILLE, OHIO– Members of Council held a public service meeting at Riverside Park to inform the public about the proposed dog park area and to discuss options for the park.

Supporters of the dog park then attend the council meeting held later on Monday night to witness the passage of the dog park after a long time of planning and waiting.

Sandy Gentry, Member, Zanesville City Council, said that she’s ecstatic about the outcome of the dog park being passed.

“We’re thrilled that this has finally come to a third reading. We want to thank all of the people that have worked so hard on this committee. For 2 years we have worked, looking for property all over the area to find the perfect location for the dog park, and we have finally found it,” Gentry said.

Gentry said that she’s expecting that they will be starting the construction of the dog park this summer.
