Local Marine Corps Train for Boot-Camp
ZANESVILLE, Oh -Â Several local men and women joined forces to prepare for what some call the toughest training in the world.
The local Marine Corps Recruiting Sub Station hosted it’s monthly meeting where all current enlisted young men and women train for boot camp at OUZ/Zane State Campus.
“A lot of the stuff we do is focused on team building, that’s a big deal for us we recognize that an individual person is never really able to accomplish that much on their own but, if we can come together as a team and build that unity it’ll allow us to start achieving goals that other wise be impossible. So we work a lot at getting these guys together and starting to install that idea of something greater than themselves. Being apart of a group that’s doing more then what they can individually accomplish,” Sgt. Dotson Dominic, RSS Zanesville Recruiter- Local Marine Corps Recruiting Sub Station.
Sgt Dotson said they are training men and women not only to serve their country but, most importantly our community.
“The people that we’re taking in from society we’re fundamentally changing, we’re instilling our values honor, courage and commitment the Marine Corp way of life the things we believe in. When they come back to society here they bring those values with them that how we get a man like Richard Bowers that even though he served during Vietnam he’s Vice President of Community Bank in Zanesville still active in the community doing great things,” Sgt. Dotson.
