Imlay Florist Celebrates its 175th Year Anniversary
The oldest family owned and operated florist in the United States celebrates’ 175 years of successful business.
Imlay Florist hosted ‘Designs on the Street’ to celebrate their Anniversary Thursday. 5th Generation Florist, Dave Imlay and the design team brought their breathtaking bouquets to life on the sidewalk.
“We got lunch in there for everybody that comes by free carnation they can watch us design on the street and it’s been a good time so far,” said Dave Imlay
Owner & 5th Generation Florist. “It’s quite an honor to get this far in a family owned business but, you have to be dedicated and service the customer and love what you do. It must been in our blood.”
Co- Owner and Florist, Katie Imlay said none of their success would be possible without the support from the community.
“The Mayor is here just to congratulate the family on a 175 years of business success in this area, in this location. The lunch is just our way of saying thank you. Our success is based on the community’s commitment and dedication to Imlay Floral,” said Katie Imlay, Co- Owner, Imlay Florist.
The celebration will continue august 6th with a block party in the Bryan Place parking lot.
