Zanesville Man Charged in Speedway Robbery

Zanesville police have arrested a man in connection with a robbery at a local Speedway.

Police said William A. Brookover, 32, of Zanesville, has been charged with one count of robbery and one count theft.

On June 26, Brookover allegedly entered the Speedway at 930 Blue Avenue just after 9 p.m. and demanded money. Police said Brookover partially covered his face with his t-shirt and gestured as though he had a gun. He then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Brookover is currently being held in the Zanesville City Jail on a $100,000 bond.
