ZANESVILLE, Ohio– The Mid-Ohio Foodbank and Appalachian Center for Collaborative and Engaged Learning will be hosting a free produce market Wednesday at the Ohio University Zanesville/Zane State Campus Center.
Wednesday’s free produce market will be indoors.
“We’re very fortunate that our partnership with Zane State and OUZ has allowed us to be inside the campus center for our free food giveaways,” ACCEL Project Manager Jason Schroeder said. “Actually, at this moment we’re scheduled until the end of the year at least to be indoors, which is fantastic. It will be in the campus center in rooms T430 and T431.”
There is no appointment, pre-registration, or paperwork required. Individuals simply will be asked to sign in at the produce market.
“We begin the giveaway at 11, that’s when it’s scheduled. It is first come first serve. So it’s really important that if you’re wanting to make sure you get advantage of it that you’ll be here early,” Schroeder said.
Schroeder said to bring own bags, boxes, or anything with wheels to transport produce to your car.
