Settlers and Junior Pioneers win at home

The Licking County Settlers defeated the Lorain County Ironmen 7-2 at Don Edwards Stadium. Licking County posted five runs in the third inning for their third win in a row. First baseman Kyle Hubbuch was named Player of the Week for week 5 of the season. Hubbuch led the Settlers in hitting going 10-for-16 with four doubles.
The Junior Pioneers were also victorious defeating the Columbus Zebras 11-5 at Gant Stadium.
Carder chooses Keiser
Philo standout Wyatt Carder has committed to play soccer next season at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida. Carder initially committed to Otterbein University to play soccer and basketball, but chose Keiser after a visit to the school. He will be on athletic scholarship.
