OSUACMC Looking for Award Nominations

The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Muskingum County is looking for nominations for two new awards.

The O.S.U.A.C.M.C.. will present the inaugural outstanding alumnus award and outstanding friend of O.S.U.A.C.M.C. award in June.

President, Terry Kopchak said he is looking for nominees with service and support to the community through local schools, churches or charitable organizations.

"We’re initiating the nomination process now, and we’re hoping to get some nominations in by June 1st of this year, and actually award our first recipients at our annual alumni auction and scholarship auction which will be on June 14th," said Kopchak.

The Alumni Club of Muskingum County has 110 local members with a third of those members being non-OSU grads.

Kopchak hopes he can honor someone who works to provide over 75 hundred dollars a year in scholarships to students attending any of Ohio State’s campuses.

"We don’t have very many fundraisers, we only have a couple of main events of the year to try to raise those funds, so it’s very important that we do that. and some of the local people that help us in those efforts, are the ones we’re hoping to recognize with those awards,"added Kopchak.

Nomination forms can be picked up at the Muskingum County Community Foundation, Tom’s Print Shop on Main Street or the O.S.U.A.C.M.C. website: http://www.osuacmc.org
