Highway Patrol Investigates Semi Accident

The Highway Patrol says a jack-knifed semi-truck stalled traffic on I-70 Thursday evening. Troopers say just after 8:00 p.m. near the Norwich exit a semi had just passed a vehicle in the rain in the eastbound lanes when the driver lost control, went off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and went over a steep embankment. Investigators say the truck fuel tank was punctured and fuel spilled onto the ground. The patrol says the driver, Byung Lee from Buena Park, California and a passenger were transported to Genesis HealthCare for non-life threatening injuries.
