Good news for Muskingum County schools dealing with the State on whether or not to make up a missed day of school.  Zanesville City Schools Director of Student Services Kevin Appleman says the Ohio Department of Education has approved their request for a waiver to use a missed day of classes as a calamity day.  Back on October 19th when Terry Thompson released his exotic animals Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz advised Zanesville, West Muskingum and Maysville School Districts to cancel classes for safety purposes.  Now, all three district will not be required to make up the lost day at the end of the year.
