National Road Yard Sale This Weekend

This weekend, Muskingum County will be a part of one of the largest yard sales in the world…

The National Road Yard Sale begins Friday on US-40, and if you have the time to travel, there will be plenty of places for you to see.

"It’s the US-40 yard sale from Baltimore, Maryland to St. Louis, Missouri. So there will be tons of sales happening along Route 40. Zanesville and Muskingum County, we are celebrating and participating on Saturday, June 2nd," said Chamber of Commerce Vice President Kelly Ashby.

More than a dozen local shops will take place in the yard sale beginning Saturday. Items such as antiques, collectibles, and even furniture will be available for purchase.

"Well they benefit by letting folks know that there are great businesses along this route, and it’s a very historic route. And also, not only the sales going on that day but year round, these are great places to shop."
