State Representative Candidate Stops in Zanesville

A candidate for the State House stopped in Zanesville Wednesday to kick off his campaign…

Frank Fleischer is running for the Ohio House of Representatives for the 97th District. Fleischer held a press conference at Muskingum Economic Opportunity Action Group, Inc. on Lee Street to receive local endorsements and educate the public on his plans.

"I worked my entire career in public service, helping the poor and vulnerable, both in mental health, senior services, developmentally disabled. And currently I am the chair of a non-profit board on elder abuse for the state," said Fleischer.

Fleischer’s primary focus is to make affordable, community-based services that help senior citizens. He said that can only be done through successful partnerships between public and private organizations.

"Here in Muskingum County, there’s a larger senior population, the senior housing. When I went door to door in the 3rd and 4th ward, seeing the senior apartments and housing, I was really impressed with quality… And just wish there was more."

Fleischer will run against current State Representative Brian Hill in this year’s election.
