Man Sentenced In Aggravated Burglary
A Zanesville man who was originally charged in connection with a home invasion is sentenced Monday. 20-year-old Cory Erskine Jr. – whose address is unknown – was sentenced in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court to four years in prison on an aggravated burglary charge. Three other charges – kidnapping, aggravated robbery and theft were dropped at sentencing. Muskingum County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Erskine along with another person in October of 2011 after authorities say they broke into a home on Old River Road, tied up a woman inside and committed a theft. Judge Mark Fleegle also ordered that Erskine make 825 dollars in restitution in the case.
