Pet of the Week: Madelyne

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Animal Shelter Society introduces us to adorable animals every week looking for a new home.
This week we have Madelyne, a 2 years old spayed female cat. She is a domestic short hair with a torbie color to her. She weighs 10 pounds and loves to be held. She is great with dogs and other cats, and she really enjoys playing.
“She’s very playful. She’d be good in a home with kids, other animals, very sociable,” said Assistant Director of the Animal Shelter Society, Russell Denny.
“She likes to explore. Just a typical nice cat,” he added.
The Animal Shelter Society will also be having lots of upcoming events such as their shopping event fundraiser with Five Below on May 19th through the 25th. 10 percent of the purchases made at Five Below will be donated to the shelter. You can also join the shelter for their Paws and Claws Summer Jam event on June 1st. Summer Jam is an afternoon for the whole family to enjoy games and activities, and a chance to meet the shelter’s adoptable dogs.
“Talk to a lot of people, a lot of animal lovers. We will have reduced prices on microchips that day. It’s a family friendly event, and it’s just a fun day,” Denny said.
Madelyne’s adoption fee is only $60, anyone is encouraged to visit her at the shelter. The shelter is also still looking for vendors for Summer Jam, if you are interested you can give them a call at (740) 452-1077.
