11th Annual Bike Blessing and Pancake Day

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It was a day full of blessings and pancakes at Finks Harley Davidson Saturday morning.
The community was invited to celebrate Y-City HOG’s 11th annual bike blessing and pancake breakfast. The pancake breakfast was available to people to eat a good meal and enjoy each other’s company. In the parking lot of Harley Davidson, rows of bikes lined where men and women gathered together to represent motorcycle clubs and pray for the safety of all motorcyclists.
“So you don’t have a crash, you’re safe all year. Protect you all year long, that’s all it is,” said Y City H.O.G.’s Tom Headley and Dave Hose.
A memorial service also took place to honor Robert Lee Mercer and to display his name on a memorial plaque. The Robert L. Mercer, “Biker Bob” Memorial Scholarship has also been created to honor Bob at Fort Mill High School.
“I think it’s just more or less, going to have a prayer for him and stuff. We have a shadow box out here, for past members that have passed. So it’s just in remembrance of them,” said Headley and Hose.
From 9am until 4pm they also had 20% off of all Harley-Davidson licensed products that were in stock.
