Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 Spring Golf Outing

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It was a beautiful day for the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Spring golf outing.
The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce Spring golf outing took place at Eaglesticks Golf Club. The purpose of the golf outing is for the Chamber of Commerce to create relationships with the local businesses. It also creates an opportunity for those businesses to network with each other.
“The neat thing about this golf outing is we have some businesses that use this to reward their employees. We have some businesses that brought clients with them. And so we see more of that each year. So it’s a great way for business people to network with each other. You know, mix business with pleasure, and spend the day at a beautiful golf course,” said Chamber President Dana Matz.
Thirty teams participated in the four-person scramble format. Each team’s entry fee included golf, the carts, and a pre-match lunch. To make things interesting, there were prizes for the longest drive, closest to the Pin, and more.
“It’s also a bonus day for some of their employees. Great way, thing that most Chambers do and we’re very fortunate to have a lot of wonderful courses here in Muskingum County. And since we have so many, we do two outings a year,” Matz said.
The Chamber will be holding another golf outing at the end of the summer.
