United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties Annual Celebration

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties is celebrating the investments the community has made in improving the lives of individuals.
This year, United Way’s annual celebration has been divided into the three counties by focusing on each of their achievements. The annual celebration is a chance to discuss the successes of United Way per county such as how much money has been raised by volunteers and community partnerships.
“We have a responsibility for transparency. We want to make sure that people know and acknowledge those folks that have worked hard to raise this money. And to know where it’s going to make an impact in the community and how it’s achieving the goals that we have for the community,” said Executive Director of United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties, Meg Deedrick.
Perry County’s celebration is taking place at the New Lexington Elementary School Tuesday, June 25th, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. All of the public is welcome to attend. United Way will be speaking on what they have been able to accomplish in Perry County and what can be accomplished in the future.
“Many times we’ll talk about a program or we’ll talk about a project or initiative that we’re funding and people are like ‘Oh I had no idea you were doing that.’ Well it’s important to talk about it not only so that they can know where their money is going, but perhaps they or a family member or neighbor could benefit from a program that we’re offering in one of these counties,” said Deedrick.
The Muskingum County celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 16th from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Foodworks Alliance location.
