Christ’s Table Open For Fourth of July Lunch

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – While many local businesses close for the holidays, one local organization is leaving its doors open for the public.
Christ’s Table is inviting the community to join them in their Independence Day lunch. They will be serving the common Fourth of July meal such as hot dogs, baked beans, and potato salad from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Christ’s Table aims to give the people they serve the chance to spend time with other community members during the holiday.
“Hunger knows no holiday, and it’s very important for us to stay open and make sure that everybody has a warm meal. And everybody we serve is like family to us,” said Christ’s Table Office Manager, Candi Jones.
Christ’s Table is also giving thanks to a truck driver who made a generous donation of two pallets of chicken to the organization. Christ’s Table was also able to share that donation with other agencies.
“We always say that miracles always happen, and yesterday we want to thank a truck driver who ended up delivering two pallets of fresh chicken to us yesterday. And we were blessed to be able to share that with some of our partner agencies. So that was a huge blessing to us,” Jones said.
If you would like to donate to Christ’s Table, they are in need of more bottles of water to serve to people for the Summer season.
