Robert “Bob” A. Wharton

Robert “Bob” A. Wharton age 59, of Mt. Ephraim, OH passed away suddenly Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Sarahsville, Ohio. He was born April 21, 1960 in Columbus, OH a son of Carolyn Jean Chesser Wharton of Cambridge, OH and the late Arthur Harry Wharton.

He was a 1978 Graduate of the New Albany High School. He was member of the Fraternal order of Eagles 2952 in Caldwell and the O.D.O.T. Golf League. He was a former Seneca Township Trustee for several years. He was employed at B&M Muffler in Sarahsville. Bob will be remembered as an avid hunter, golfer, and camper.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother Stephen Wharton.

Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, are his loving wife Mary Akers Wharton whom he married June 17, 1978; 2 sons Daniel (Sarah) Wharton of Pleasantville, OH and their daughter Kaylee Ann Wharton and Nate (Stephanie) Wharton of Mobile, AL; brother William Wharton of Columbus; sister Nancy A. (Dale Buckey) Archer of Caldwell; sister-in-law Nancy L. Wharton of Westerville, OH; niece Natasha (Paul) Dovenbarger of Byesville, OH and their daughter Nakayla; father-in-law and mother-in-law Jimmy and Virginia Akers of Columbus; brothers-in-law Bill Akers and James (Rebecca) Akers all of Columbus; sister-in-law Debbie (John) Koslofsky of Cincinnati, OH; Bob is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many special friends with whom he cherished.

Cremation will be observed at this time and a Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at a later date.
