Ohio Tax Free Holiday at Colony Square Mall

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – If you are still in need for those back to school outfits and supplies, this weekend is a good time to purchase those items.

Ohio tax free holiday is running from August 2nd through August 4th, and the Colony Square Mall is participating. During the holiday, certain items are exempt from sales and use tax. This includes an item of clothing priced at $75 or less, school supply items at $20 or less, and school instructional materials at $20 or less.

“On the tax free weekend, people come out and they take advantage of it because it does amount to a pretty good savings especially when you have one or more children that are going back to school,” said Colony Square Mall Marketing Manager, Sherri Velliquette.

During the tax free holiday, Colony Square Mall will also be hosting a back to school bash event on Saturday. The bash will have plenty of activities including a fashion show, DJ entertainment, and shopping spree drawings where you can win gift cards to your favorite stores. Special in store events will be happening as well.

“I think as part of the community here, I think that this is our way of helping give back to the community. And allowing the kids to have a great time, look forward to going back to school, and also get some extra money and additional savings,” said Velliquette.
