Pet of the Week: Chloe

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – On this episode of Keeping up with the Animal Shelter Society, We introduce you to Chloe, a 2-year-old pitbull mix.
Chloe has a great amount of energy and Animal Shelter Society Board of Directors President, Stephanie Hill said she is great around people. Hill said she has a very loving personality, she is very strong, but is not good with other animals.
“Yeah so we actually consider Chloe special needs because she is going to need a home where she is the only pet. Chloe loves people, she does very well with children. She just doesn’t like other animals so she is going to need a family that understands that. She needs to be the only pet. She is not the dog that you are going to be able to take to the dog park on the weekends but that doesn’t mean that she is not a great dog. She is full of love and really needs a forever home,” said Hill.
The Animal Shelter Society also has a great deal going on this week with Christ’s Table. If you bring in 10 or more food cans you receive $20 off of your adoption fee. Christ’s Table Executive Director, Keely Warden said the community support is amazing.
“It really helps us out a lot and it really warms your heart when you know that there are other people that get what you do and they do similar things except for animals. They know how important it is for people to step up and help you. We both run on very small budgets so, when community partners step up and say we want to help you out it just warms our hearts,” said Warden.
After a generous sponsor of Chloe, her adoption fee is actually taken care of, however there is an application process, and licensing required.
