Last Day of Dresden Swim Center’s Pool Season

DRESDEN, Ohio – It’s the last day of the season for the Dresden Swim Center.

The Dresden Swim Center is used as the perfect spot for families and community members to beat the heat in the Summer, but today was the final day to take advantage of the pool. Pool Manager, Nick Bice said although the weather wasn’t the best at the start, they ended up having a great season overall.

“The beginning of the year, June, was pretty cold and rainy. And then the weather finally broke that last week or so in June. And then it’s been awesome ever since, so we ended up having a pretty good year,” he said.

Bice also added that it is not too busy this year for the last day due to the cooler temperatures. During the off season, the Swim Center is cleaned and maintained as it awaits its opening day for next year.

“I spend a couple weeks after we close to do some maintenance stuff as we drain the pool and put all the chairs and stuff away. And so the lifeguards are starting to put some of our chairs away now for the winter and store them. And just the normal maintenance stuff. And then we’ll start it all back up next Spring,” said Bice.

The Swim Center will reopen again next year on Memorial Day.
