ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local anti-bullying group is raising money to help kids in the community.

Team Coby is hosting their 2nd annual Poker Run on Saturday, September 7th. There will be a live auction, hog roast, and live music from the Lost Brother’s Band. Registration for the event is $10. 75% of the proceeds go to local scholarships for local kids.

“It’s just going to be a really good time for a good cause. In Team Coby we’re about anti-bullying and anti-suicide awareness and education support group. So we decided how we could support our kids the best and we thought giving them out scholarships would probably be the right benefit,” said CEO & President of Team Coby, Tammy Bleakney.

The mission of Team Coby is to educate and bring awareness of bullying and suicide issues within the community and especially the youth. The event is at a new location this year, at the Riverside Cafe. New owner of the Riverside Cafe, John Seckman said they want to continue to be involved with events that support a good cause.

“We’re trying to get involved in charitable organizations to help especially the kids. Hopefully we can do more events. Just trying to help out and make things a little better,” said Seckman.

Registration for the poker run is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. For more information on Team Coby you can find them on social media and their website, www.cobybleakney.org.
