Zanesville Art Walk Artist of the Month

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Linda Hartsock and her family create their jewelry from gemstones, seaglass, flint, metal and fossils. Their venture, Sissy’s Jewelry, is the ARTCOZ Zanesville Art Walk September Artist of the Month.

“We started coming here like four years ago, then we joined the ARTCOZ and met so many artists here. There are four or five every month that come and sell jewelry,” says Hartsock. “We like to find things that are unusual. We even found some coconut that you can make necklaces out of. When we were at Hilton Head we picked up some perfect bamboo for necklaces, so we’re always watching for little unique things in what we do. We try to make it different than regular. It’s not costume jewelry; it’s just unusual jewelry and we like to keep it that way.”

The First Friday Artwalk Gallery Hop occurs each month from 5pm to 8pm in downtown Zanesville.
