Pet of the week: Matt

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Animal Shelter Society has a very well mannered cat named Matt that is available for adoption.

Matt is a beautiful white and red cat that is considered a senior because he is 10-years-old. Matt has a very mellow personality, and Cat Room Employee, Kay Madewell said Matt will do best in a relaxed and calm environment.

“Probably more of a quiet home. I didn’t see a lot of history about his family. If there were kids or other dogs or other cats, I don’t know about that but he definitely seems pretty mellow, and so probably more of a mellow household would be good for him,” said Madewell.

The Animal Shelter Society also has A Day in the Dog House fundraiser coming up. A Day In The Dog House is a fun, and different type of fundraiser coming up on Saturday, September 21st.

“What that is, is there will be nine local community members, supporters of the shelter that will be locked in a kennel from 11 till 3. The goal is for them to raise money to pay their bail, so to speak, to bust them out of here and so they will be on Facebook trying to get donations,” said Madewell.

Matt’s adoption fee is 30 dollars, and he is a very sweet boy.
