Lightfoot Sentenced For Officer Assault

A Zanesville man is sentenced on theft charges and for assaulting two corrections officers. 28-year-old Colt Lightfoot went before Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle and received an eight year sentence on theft of a motor vehicle, theft of a firearm and tampering with evidence. Lightfoot was also sentenced in connection with an incident at the Zanesville City Jail. Police says Lightfoot became belligerent in the visitation area of the jail and when approached by officers he assaulted them. Judge Fleegle sentenced Lightfoot to 8 years in prison to be served consecutively with his other sentence.
