Muskingum Co. NAACP Hosts Benefit Dinner

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The NAACP is holding a benefit at Bryan Place next Saturday, November 2 to raise money for the Muskingam County Branch.
President Kenneth Burke says the benefit dinner is the only fundraiser the organization holds each year.
“We have a dinner we always bring in a speaker — what we have been doing for the last 10 years 15 years lately, we look into the archives of somebody who has grown up here went to school here went away and has succeeded.”
Burke says anyone who would like to join the NAACP is welcome.
“Well – we don’t look at the color of your skin because we have white members as well as black members and we show no color. If you want to be a member of the naacp you can be a member.”
The dinner is Saturday, November 2 and tickets must be purchases before October 25th. For more information, call Burke at 740-408-1148 or his secretary Sharon Johnson at 740-408-5088.
