Zane State Students Give Back to Community through SOUPer Bowl

Souper Bowl Luncheon

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s been one chilly week and that’s especially true for some culinary arts students at Zane State College.

They’ll be serving up soup at a benefit luncheon this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the OUZ Zane State Campus Center. Student, Nickolas Snyder, says it’s a crazy- but rewarding – day.

“Busy, especially for us, it’s fun though. You get to see a lot of people that come in and you get to see them enjoy your food. It’s a lot of good food.”

The head of the culinary arts department and Certified Executive Chef Marco Adornetto says this is a great event to give back to your community.

” Well it’s just a great way to invest in your community. And that’s what the students do — they’re here. This program really is always in the community eye, we’re always doing things for the community and it’s just a great way to support the community. So come on out it’s going to be a nice day that day.”

Eastside Community Ministry, Christ’s Table, Fellowship of Christ’s Community, Salvation Army and Muskingum County Center for Seniors will benefit from the SOUPer Bowl.
