Dresden Residents, Businesses Celebrate Oktoberfest

DRESDEN, Ohio – Saturday, Dresdon Village held their Oktoberfest with help from the Dresden Community Association, Son’s of the American Legion and Friends of Dresden Park.
Board Member for the Dresdon Community Association Brenton Baker says the day was filled with fall themed activities.
“We have fresh donuts, another food booth, there’s a beer garden, a couple of entertainers, hay wagon rides, pumpkin carving contest. Lots of stuff going on.”
The entire community took part – including stores that offered Oktoberfest sales and deals. Owner of The Farm Table Christie Laffin says she makes it a point to support the area.
“The one thing that we do is we support local companies so that gives back to them and that gives them an avenue to sell their wares and show their wares and we give back to many things. We are supporters of local schools and events and charitable venues and fundraisers so we like to be part of that.”
The event was from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and included a rededication of the world’s largest basket.
