Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident
One man is in the hospital with serious injuries after police say a car struck a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon.
Zanesville Police responded to the scene just after 4 p.m.
Patrolman Joel Tignor said 27-year-old Christa Jewell of Zanesville pulled out in front of a motorcyclist at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and Gray street.
Police say the motorcyclist is 64-year-old Arthur Mickens of Zanesville, who was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Officer Tignor said Mickens was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
No other injuries were reported.
Jewell was cited with failure to yield.
