Seniors Center Engages in Subaru Holiday Fundraiser

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Muskingum County Center for Seniors is participating in a holiday fundraiser sponsored by Subaru.

“We’re participating with our philanthropic partners, the Dancing Divas. They’re helping us to spread the word about this Subaru Share the Love campaign, because Subaru, during this time period, November 14th through January 1st, will donate $250 of every car sold during this time period to one of the philanthropic charities that they have selected — or the charity of the buyer’s choosing. Because we’re a member of Meals on Wheels America, we are able to benefit from the dollars that are generated across the country during this time period,” says Ann Combs, Executive Director, Muskingum Co. Center For Seniors.

The ‘Share the Love’ event is connected to the car maker’s efforts to help fund Meals on Wheels America.

“We want to make sure that people are aware of this and we’re grateful for the opportunity to be able to get some dollars that will actually impact to help feed the hungry in our community,” Combs says.

The Dancing Divas performance coincides with Wednesday evening’s Courthouse Tree Lighting in downtown Zanesville.
