2019 A Good Year for Zanesville Chamber

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — 2019 was a good year, says the leader of the Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce. Membership ticked upward.
“We technically finished the year plus-one, so that’s a good number and if we were included in the Franklin County market, we would be the fourth largest Chamber in that market, so very proud of that number,” says Dana Matz, Executive Director.
The Chamber’s efforts to persuade people to buy local is a centerpiece of their commitment to businesses in and around Zanesville.
“Coming off our shop local, buy local for the holiday season campaign, having the media that we have with WHIZ Television, radio, our other radio stations, print media, we’re very fortunate that we can focus our marketing on our region and try to keep people local. We encourage them. It’s very easy to push that button and do online shopping, but take care of your own. Take care of those companies that you see sponsoring your youth baseball teams, sponsoring sporting events locally and those types of things,” Matz added.
The Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce benefits from being two counties east of Columbus and the local community straddling I-70.
