Meet Byron, our Pet of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — He’s a Husky mix and is as rambunctious as he is lovable. Meet Byron, our WHIZ – Animal Shelter Society Pet of the week.
Byron is seven months old and has been at the shelter for only a short time.
“He came to the shelter because his owner was in ill health and felt like they couldn’t take care of him anymore. He’s been just a delight, fairly new here and a lot of visitors so far, but no one’s taken him home for their forever pet. So, we’re looking to get Byron in just the right home setting. He is already altered, he’s microchipped, his health came back almost perfect. There’s nothing at all wrong with this little guy, except he needs a new home,” says Deborah Bergeron, Director of the Animal Shelter Society.
“He seems to get along with everybody. If you have small children, we would want you to try and bring your child so that we can see if he gets along well with your child, but so far we’ve had absolutely zero problems with him. He’s just a happy boy,” Bergeron adds.
Byron’s adoption fee is $150. You can visit him, or any of the shelter pets, by visiting the Animal Shelter Society on Newark Road, across from the Ohio University Zanesville / Zane State campus.
