Hampton Sentenced 18 Years To Life

A Zanesville man is sentenced in connection with a murder in September of last year. Muskingum County Prosecutor Mike Haddox says 22-year-old Joey Hampton received an 18 year-to life prison term today in Common Pleas Court. Hampton pleaded guilty in July to one count of murder with a firearm specification in the death of 21-year-old Dante Wolford. He was shot at the Dairy Mart on Pine Street in 2011. Hampton fled the area after the shooting and was arrested one month later by US Marshals in Florida.
