Charles Manson’s Grandson Visiting
The grandson of a convicted killer is coming to Duncan Falls.
Jason Freeman is one of few living blood relatives of Charles Manson, who led a group of people that murdered actress Sharon Tate and others in the late 1960s. Freeman is a mixed martial arts fighter and motivational speaker at an upcoming event. Youth Pastor Adam King is bringing him to Cornerstone Full Gospel Church.
"He just has an amazing story of victory, deliverance and especially the curse of the family name and getting out of that," said King.
King said the purpose of the gathering is to kick off the school year and encourage children to stay out of trouble. He also hopes to incorporate martial arts displays and a performance by the band "Hearts of Saints".
"We know that kids face a lot of challenges as they go back to school with drugs and violence, the party scene and all of the temptations out there," said King. "We’re just trying to encourage them to kick off a positive school year."
Freeman will be at the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church on Salt Creek Drive in Duncan Falls on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
