Biden Supporters Ready For Visit

Local Obama-Biden supporters are busy preparing for Biden’s arrival.

Friday at the Obama Campaign headquarters in Zanesville, volunteers made signs for the Vice President’s upcoming speech. Those who turned out were motivated by the President’s own speech at Thursday’s Democratic National Convention.

"I’m excited about Obama’s message. I was really inspired by his speech yesterday, it’s good to hear about moving the country forward instead of backward as a woman also I’m really strongly behind Obama. I was glad to come and help out today," said campaign volunteer Emily Baldys.

Along with making posters, volunteers also made phone calls reminding the community of Biden’s visit. Those participating were happy to be a part of the campaign.

"The need to do something. To contribute in some way. I’m not able to go door to door anymore. Making posters and phone calls is something I can do," said campaign volunteer Joan Brooks.

Future campaign events will take place at the Obama headquarters, located at 3935 Northpointe Drive.
