Muskingum University to Move to Off-Campus Instruction

Due to coronavirus concerns, and at the urging of Governor DeWine, the University will be moving to an off-campus instructional format starting on Monday, March 16. We will continue on-campus classroom instruction until the end of the day Thursday, March 12, to allow time for students, faculty and staff to prepare for off-campus instruction.
Students will be expected to vacate Residence Halls by noon on Friday, March 13. For those students unable to leave campus, arrangements will be made.
Administrators and staff are expected to continue to report to campus and will receive further instructions about their work responsibilities. Faculty should plan to teach classes as scheduled on March 11 and 12. There will be additional faculty responsibilities on Friday, March 13. Details will follow.
To further avoid large group gatherings, we will not be hosting any non-athletic events between March 13 and March 29. Per the Governor’s guidance, athletic events will continue with no spectators, and will be evaluated moving forward.
All non-essential University-sponsored travel will be canceled or postponed.
The above actions will be in place until March 29 unless notified accordingly. We are committed to providing the best possible educational experience for our students while ensuring the well-being of the campus community. We will provide regular updates on www.muskingum.edu/coronavirus.
