Seafood and steak eatery Rake’s place offers carryout service in the midst of virus

ZANESVILLE – Rake’s Place opened for business in October 2019, but, like every other restaurant, it doesn’t allow people to eat inside due to the stay at home order. They do have a carry out for customers and you can try their signature steaks and as well as other items on the menu just by stopping by.
“I think it’s a convenience because there’s people that do want to go out to the stores and go to grocery shopping, so, being with us, they can come pick it up or we’ll deliver it to them. We can put it on their front porch, they can pay over the phone, whatever’s easiest for them,” Co-owner Amber Herron said.
Although Rakes Place only had its doors open for a short time, it will be a great destination for residents to dine at when the order is lifted.
“Everybody being local and supporting us, we have the patio so hopefully when we open back up we’ll be able to open up this patio. We are working on some new menu ideas, some new drink ideas for summer time to get everybody back in and out of this funk,” Herron said.
Herron is pleased with the amount of customers they continue to receive and says that local friends and family have been very supportive.
