Port Authority awards bid for Eastpointe Business Park

ZANESVILLE – Work will be done by a local construction company on the over one thousand acre development.
“We’ve awarded that bid today to Shelly and Sands and that will benefit a lot of businesses in the park. It started out as the main entrance but this is all because of the investment that is taking place within that park. We were able to get some additional dollars from outside of our local coffers to assist us with this project so we hope to have the project underway pretty soon. The estimated completion date is November 30th,” Zanesville- Muskingum County Port Authority Executive Director Matt Abbott said.
Abbott is also pleased with the progress being made with the upcoming AMG Vanadium facility.
“AMG Vanadium construction continues to go. There’s a lot of local contractors that’s working on site so we’re very excited. We’re about a year period from the groundbreaking that happened in August of 2019 so we continue to be excited. (There’s) a lot of construction jobs that have been created from this job and we’re happy to have them in our community,” Abbott said.
The company who was awarded the bid, Shelly and Sands, was recently presented with a large business excellence award during a Port Authority meeting in July.
