Jaycees To Hold Food Truck Festival
ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Jaycees are holding a food truck festival this Saturday at Zanes Landing Park.
This is the fifth annual food truck festival the club has put on. Board member Mike Fulmer has more information.
“We’ve got about a dozen trucks coming out, so we’ll have a real nice variety of food. We’re gonna run the event from eleven am to seven pm. We are gonna ask that people socially distance themselves when they come down for the event. Everything is gonna be to go, we’re not gonna have any dine in seating or anything like that this year, just for sanitation purposes.”
The Jaycees are largely a charitable foundation and this event’s proceeds are going to one of their biggest year round fundraisers.
“So the food truck rally is an event that we put together about five years ago, we don’t have a designated purpose for the event, it just is a general fundraiser it goes to our general fund. This year I can speak confidently that the money raised from this event is gonna go to fund our christmas for kids program. With COVID and all the restrictions this year, our fundraiser events have been eliminated or diminished greatly.”
The event is again at Zanes Landing this Saturday beginning at eleven am.
