United Way Offering Back To School Help

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties is offering back to school help for area students and families.
The program has already helped over a thousand students get back to school essentials. Executive Director Meg Deedrick has more information on how the program is run.
“Whether kids are going back to their actual school building or whether they are staying at home but still learning, they are going to need school supplies and that’s why the United Way is proud to continue our efforts, as we have every year since 2008 to provide back to school assistance. We did so in Muskingum, Morgan and Perry counties.”
The program gave money to family services in each county. Deedrick explains how donations can be both received and made.
“Anybody who needs assistance can call 2-1-1, which is our information and referral service. They can be referred to entities throughout the three county area that are still provided existence… If someone wanted to make a donation they could reach out to us, again through 2-1-1 or they could call the United Way Office or make a donation through our website.”
The United Way is looking to provide school supplies for as long as the school year goes on.
