Surge of Cases
Muskingum County is currently experiencing a surge of COVID-19 cases. We have set several daily records over the past five days. We have more COVID-19 patients in the hospital than we have had at any time since the COVID-19 pandemic began. In addition, our positivity rate has risen to over 10%, which means that 1 out of 10 people tested is positive for COVID-19. This increases the likelihood that you could be exposed to someone who does not know that they have COVID-19.
Although everyone is getting tired of the need to social distance and to wear masks in public, it is more important than ever to do these things to protect ourselves, our families and our friends.
